Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed HVAC shop drawings, layout plans, and installation drawings using AutoCAD (2D/3D)
- Develop ductwork, piping, and equipment layout drawings in line with approved MEP designs and specifications
- Coordinate with design engineers, site teams, and other trades (electrical, plumbing, fire fighting) to resolve clashes and ensure accurate installation drawings
- Prepare as-built drawings, material submittals, and shop drawing packages for client/consultant approval
- Revise drawings based on RFIs, comments, and site instructions
- Maintain drawing registers and ensure version control of all technical documents
- Support quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation from drawings when required
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Draftsmanship, or related technical field
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience as an HVAC Draftsman, preferably within a Qatar/GCC MEP contracting environment
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D); knowledge of Revit MEP/BIM is an advantage
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, ductwork design, and MEP coordination drawings
- Familiarity with Qatar Construction Standards (QCS) and local authority (Ashghal/Kahramaa) submission requirements is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret consultant/client drawings and specifications
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet project deadlines
